Maria Rosa (Bonifay)

Woman silhouetteRepresent this individual

I represent Maria Rosa, an enslaved negra woman in the household of Don Manuel Bonifay. My son, Manuel Silvestre, an enslaved mulato in the same household, was confirmed in Pensacola on May 7, 1798, by the Bishop of Louisiana and the Floridas, Rev. Luis Peñalver y Cardenas.
