I represent Stockley Donelson Hutchings. I was General Andrew Jackson’s nephew by marriage; my mother was Rachel Jackson’s sister. On July 19, 1821, General Jackson appointed me Auctioneer (along with John Garnier) in the new American government of West Florida. Unfortunately, I died of tuberculosis in Pensacola in August 1821.
