I represent Margaret E. King. I was born in 1808 in Easton, Maryland. I came to Pensacola when my father, Col. William King, was appointed by General Andrew Jackson as the U.S. military governor of West Florida in 1818. I stayed in the area, lived a long life and died with lots of real estate in Pensacola. I am buried in St. Michael’s cemetery.
