Don Ygnacio Serra

I represent Don Ygnacio Serra, a European man born in Cataluña, Spain. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 60 years old and married to Doña Maria Madalena Serra. We had four children: Maria Josefa, Celestino, Ursino, and Rosa. In the census it said I made my living as a civil servant in the Spanish government; though in an 1821 request for a land title I was identified as having been the Chief Pilot of the Port of Pensacola.
