Ezekiel Ewing (“E.E.”) Simpson

I represent Ezekiel Ewing (“E.E.”) Simpson. I was born in 1803 in South Carolina. My parents brought the family down to the Pensacola area around 1814 from Abbeville, South Carolina. We settled on the Blackwater River and we had the Woodbine Mill up and running by 1820. I married Sophia Allen of Boston, and then Susan Alexander Overman. I died in Pensacola in 1875 and am buried in St. Michael’s cemetery.
