Juan Villalonga

I represent Juan Villalonga, a European man born in Cataluña, Spain. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 50 years old and made my living as a baker. I lived with Juliana, a free negra woman who worked as a laundress, and our three children. Families of mixed ethnicity like ours were quite common in Spanish West Florida, as the Spanish did not have the same social taboos as Anglo-American society.
