Ann Campbell

I represent Ann Campbell, daughter of John and Ann Campbell. According to family records, my parents came to West Florida by 1818, after my father wanted to return here after seeing it during his Royal Navy service in the War of 1812. At the time of the changing of the flags, I would have been about 2 years old. My sister, Emily, was the first child born in Florida after it became an American territory. My father owned a schooner that ran supplies from Mobile and New Orleans to Pensacola, and was also involved in the lumber industry in Conecuh County, Alabama. He would later serve as a Pensacola alderman and was founding member of Christ Church.
