I represent Carlos Sierra, a free negro man born in Louisiana. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 46 years old and made my living as a carpenter. I was single and lived alone. I may have been living on one of the two lots of land I purchased at public auction in 1815 for $83 (Lot 366, on the northwest corner of Romana and Tarragona Streets, and Lot 246 which lay at the west end of Intendencia St., on the eastern bank of Washerwoman Creek).
