Don Charles Leonard LeBaron

I represent Don Charles Leonard LeBaron, a European man born in Honfleur, Normandy, France. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 58 years old, married, and had 4 children. I worked as a shopkeeper.

According to Descendants of Deacon Samuel & Ann Bass (which information has not yet been independently confirmed by 1821 Sampler researchers), I was an Admiral in the French Navy and came to the U.S. in 1800. I settled in Philadelphia, where.I met and married my wife, Doña Mary Weaver LeBaron, who was said to be a niece of Aaron Burr. I died in 1823 at the age of 62, and am buried in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
