I represent Don Francisco Bonifay – called “Feruco” – a blanco boy born in Pensacola. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 13 years old. I lived with my father, Don Manuel Bonifay; my mother, Doña Teresa Yniestra Bonifay; and 7 siblings. We lived on a farm outside of town. I am buried in St. Michael’s cemetery.
