I represent Don Jose Viola, a European man from Santander, Spain. My parents were Vizente and Josefa Belen. I married Catarina Dorotea Segovia in 1797 in New Orleans, where I had lived since age 10. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 53 years old and made my living as a billiard parlor keeper. My death appears in the burial records of St. Michael’s parish: June 13, 1845.
