I represent Pedro Isidoro Yniestra, a blanco man born in New Orleans in 1793. My parents were Gregorio, native of Padroneras in Spain and first sergeant in the Louisiana militia; and Maria Fernandez, native of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands. I married Eulalia Gonzalez on June 29, 1816 at St. Michael’s in Pensacola. (At the time of my marriage, my father was a Colonel.)
At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 28 years old. Eulalia and I had one young son. I made my living as a silvermsth.
