I represent Doña Maria Greenwood Resmundo, a blanca woman born in Pensacola in 1798. I was the daughter of Maria Luxembourg and John Greenwood, of England. On January 8, 1813, I married Juan Luis Resmundo, an Italian farmer, at St. Michael’s in Pensacola. We eventually had six children, but at the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, the household was just me, my husband, and my widowed mother. I died in Lillian, Baldwin County, Alabama in 1850. I am buried in the Old Spanish Cemetery there.
