I represent Doña Maria Laurent (also spelled Lorens) Vilaseca, a blanca woman born in New Orleans in 1776. I had a twin sister named Maria Anna. My parents were Simon, native of Mobile, and Margarita Darbin (or Dorbin), of St. Charles Parish on the first German Coast. I married Baldirio Thomas Vilaseca in New Orleans in 1796. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 44 years old. Tomas was a shopkeeper, and we had six children.
