Doña Maria Machado Caro

I represent Doña Maria Machado Caro, a European woman born in the Canary Islands. I am listed in the 1791 Holy Visit to Pensacola by the Bishop of Tricali as having made confession and taken communion in 1791. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 48 years old, a widow living with my 5 children. (I was also the mother of Don Jose Esteban Caro, who was married and had his own household.) My late husband was Don Benito Caro.
