Doña Rosa Serra

Photo representing Doña Rosa Serra

I represent Doña Rosa Serra, a blanca girl born in Pensacola. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 10 years old and single. I lived with my parents, Don Ygnacio – a Spanish civil servant – and Doña Maria Josefa Serra, and my three siblings.

I married John Greenwood on February 21, 1831 in Pensacola. I died on February 13, 1884, at the age of 80. My burial appears in the records of St. Michael’s parish, and I rest in St. Michael’s cemetery.
