Doña Victoria (Victoire) LeSassier de Alba

Woman silhouette

I represent Victoire LeSassier de Alba, a blanca woman born in New Orleans on July 10, 1760. My parents were Carlos and Genoveva Gallard Lesassier.

On Mary 8, 1787, I married my first husband, Joseph Noriega, who later died.

I am listed in the 1791 Holy Visit to Pensacola by the Bishop of Tricali as having made confession and taken communion in 1791.

I married my second husband, Don Pedro de Alba, on September 1, 1813 at St. Michael’s in Pensacola. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, the marriage was already becoming a drama-fest and would end in divorce in the 1830s. I died June 17, 1833, and I am buried in St. Michael’s cemetery.
