I represent Doña Fabia (also called Phoebe) Pyburn Turvin, a blanca woman born in Pensacola. At the time of the 1820 census, I was 38 years old and widowed. (My late husband’s name was Jeptha Turvin; he was a “forester” and died around 1809.) I lived with my sister and brother-in-law, Maria Pyburn and Antonio Collins, their children and a cowhand named Jose Maria.
