I represent Francisca, an enslaved woman in the household of Maria Carlota Ruby, a free woman of color in Pensacola. I am named in her will of 14 September 1823. In the 1820 census of Pensacola, Maria Carlota Ruby lived with her husband, Salvador (a free man of color), and their 9 children.
