George Bowie

I represent George Bowie. I was born in 1771 in Abbeville, South Carolina. I served in the War of 1812 as a Major and Aide de Camp. I practiced law for many years before being appointed as Pensacola’s first mayor in the new American city government. I remained for one year before moving to Conecuh County, Alabama.
