Isabel (Noriega)

I represent Isabel, an enslaved mulata woman in the household of Victoire LeSassier. I was born December 24, 1805, probably in New Orleans. I was baptized January 31, 1806. I had three children by the time Madame LeSassier made her will in 1833: Virginie Victoire, Elodie, and Francisco. Virginie Victoire and Elodie were both freed by Madame LeSassier; I was bequeathed to  her niece, Emilie Hubbell.
