John Allen Simpson

I represent John Allen Simpson. I was born in 1801 in South Carolina. I had a twin sister, Rebecca Calhoun Simpson. My parents brought the family down to the Pensacola area around 1814 from Abbeville, South Carolina. We settled on the Blackwater River and we had the Woodbine Mill up and running by 1820. I died in Alabama in 1863 and am buried in St. Michael’s cemetery.
