John (de la Rua)

I represent John, an enslaved negro boy in the household of John de la Rua. In 1824, he sold me to Adelaide Tallasco for $300. The deed describes me as “born in this town of a negro woman belonging to Mr. Thomas Villaseca,” from whom I was bought.
