I represent John Jackson (“Jack”) Herrington. I was born about 1801 in Georgia. In 1820, I married Phoebe Bates in Alabama. At the time of the exchange of flags, we had one little girl, a few months old, who died in childhood. She was the first of several who would come along in later years.
