John Simpson, Jr.

I represent John Simpson, Jr. I was born in 1768. I brought my family to the Pensacola area around 1814 from Abbeville, South Carolina. We settled on the Blackwater River and my sons and I had the Woodbine Mill up and running by 1820. My sons eventually inherited the business. I died in 1825 and am buried in St. Michael’s cemetery.
