I represent Jose Fisbe, a free pardo man born in Louisiana. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 49 years old and made my living as a carpenter. I lived in a household with Saire Nicolas, a free negra woman who worked as a laundress, and her son, Augstin, a free pardo man who was a fisherman. It is unclear if I have any particular relationship to either of them.
