Juan Moreno

I represent Juan Moreno, a European man born in Castile, Spain. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 50 years old and married to Maria Hindenberg Moreno. We had three young children. The census lists me as a day laborer, though in my 1814 request to the Spanish Crown for a land grant on Escambia Bay, I was referred to as a Captain of Infantry in the Louisiana Regiment.
