I represent Maria Adelaida St. Cyr, a free parda woman born in Pensacola. At the time of the 1820 census, I was 5 years old. I lived in the household of the widower Luis St. Cyr, a free pardo shoemaker. I was one of 8 children in the household, ranging in age from 5 to 28 – and it is possible I was actually a grandchild, but the census record is not clear on this.
