I represent Maria Luisa St. Cyr, a free parda girl born in Pensacola. At the time of the 1820 census, I was 8 years old. I lived in the household of my widowed father, Luis St. Cyr, a free pardo shoemaker. I was one of 8 children in the household, ranging in age from 5 to 28 – and it is possible the youngest was actually a grandchild but the census record is not clear on this.
