I represent Rebecca Calhoun Simpson. I was born in South Carolina. I had a twin brother, John Allen Simpson. My parents brought the family down to the Pensacola area around 1814 from Abbeville, South Carolina. We settled on the Blackwater River and my father and older brothers had the Woodbine Mill up and running by 1820. I died in 1872 and am buried in St. Michael’s cemetery.
