Unnamed Enslaved Girl

Photo representing Unnamed Enslaved Girl

Represented by Taylor Dawson

I represent one of 9 unnamed enslaved girls of color in the city of Pensacola an its environs. There is no documentation of me as an individual; my existence is based on the number of female enslaved persons aged 0-14 years old in an 1819 population count. There were 48 enslaved females between the ages of 0 and 14 years; the Sampler project has identified 39 of them.
