Unnamed Enslaved Man

I represent one of 66 unnamed enslaved men of color between the ages of 14 and 45 in the city of Pensacola . There is no documentation of me as an individual; my existence is based on the number of male enslaved persons aged 14-45 years old in an 1819 population count: There were 89 enslaved males between the ages of 14 and 45; the Sampler Project has identified 23. There are many enslaved men in the Sampler without documented ages who may fit into this category.
