I represent one of 17 unnamed enslaved women of color between the ages of 14 and 45 in the plaza of Pensacola. There is no documentation of me as an individual; my existence is based on the number of female enslaved persons aged 14-45 years old in an 1819 population count: There were 99 enslaved females between the ages of 14 and 45 years; the Sampler Project has identified 72 of them. There are many enslaved females with no documented age in the Sampler which might fit into the category.
