I represent Captain Richard Keith Call. I was born in Kentucky in 1792, but we soon moved to Virginia. I studied law, and volunteered to serve under General Andrew Jackson in the Red Stick War and the Battle of Pensacola and New Orleans. In 1821, I was a personal aide to General Jackson and I accompanied him to Florida to oversee the transition of Florida to the United States. I decided to stay, and eventually served in Congress and as governor of the Florida Territory. My 1824 marriage announcement to Miss Mary Kirkman at the Hermitage, TN, appeared in the Pensacola Gazette, though I was General Call by then.
