Juana Josefa Antonia Benites Peñalver

I represent Juana Josepha Antonia Benites Peñalver (called Juana), a blanca woman born in New Orleans in 1784. My parents were Juan and Maria Collado Benites, both of New Orleans. I married Manuel Peñalver, a native of Galicia, Spain, in New Orleans in 1800. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 35 years old. Manuel made his living as a sailor, and we had 7 children.
