I represent Teresa Fernandez Perez, a blanca woman born in Pensacola. My parents were Juan and Isabel Rendon Fernandez. I married Juan Antonio Perez on January 17, 1814 at St. Michael’s in Pensacola. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 29 years old. Antonio, who had previously served as a Captain in the Louisiana Regiment, made his living as a pulpero, which can be translated as either tavernkeeper or grocer. We shared our household with 16-year-old blanca woman named Maria Gomez, but her relationship to us is not specified.
