I represent Alfonso de Zalas, a European man born in Osuna, Spain around 1775. My parents were Alfonso and Francisca Carbasia de Zalas.
I married Maria Ynes Gonzalez on May 7, 1816 at St. Michael’s in Pensacola.
At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 45 years old and made my living as a shopkeeper. Maria Ynes and I had two children, and we shared our household with a widow and her adult son; their relationship to us is unclear.
