Doña Ana Maria Caro

I represent Doña Ana Maria Caro, a blanca woman born in New Orleans in 1798. My parents were Benito and Maria Machado Caro. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 20 years old and lived with my widowed mother. After the changing of the flags, on January 25, 1822, I would marry Colonel of Artillery Pablo Palmes of Barcelona, Spain at St. Michael’s parish.
