Represented by Amanda Edge

I represent Doña Ursula Josefa Celeste Constanza Tala de Alba (called Constanza), a blanca woman born in New Orleans in 1784. I was the daughter of Juan Tala, native of Alicante and chief accountant for the Regiment of Louisiana, and Charlotte LeSassier. I married Don Pedro de Alba in 1817 in New Orleans by proxy.

At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 35 years old, living with my husband and our son, Juan. I was the niece of Victoire LeSassier, who was not fond of me; I was the sister of Celeste Tala de Villiers. In the 1850 census of Pensacola, Celeste and I were both widowed and shared a household.
