I represent Margarita Brosnaham, a blanca girl born in Pensacola. I was the daughter of Dr. John Brosnaham and Maria Josefa Martinez Brosnaham. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 1 year old. My father was a veteran of the War of 1812 and in 1821 was the surgeon to the U.S. troops in Pensacola. After the transition he served as an alderman of the city. It is likely I died very young as I am not accounted for in any future census records and my father does not name me in his will.
