I represent Doña Ysabel Eugenia Sierra, a blanca woman born in St. Marks, Florida in 1799. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 20 years old and single. I lived in a large household with my parents, Don Eugenio and Doña Francisca Dauphin Sierra; my 5 siblings, my elderly widowed grandfather, Don Francisco Dauphin, and my uncle, Don Santiago Dauphin.
In 1828, I became the second wife of the widowed Dr. John Brosnaham. I died at the age of 90; my grave marker says on May 18, 1889, but my burial record says I was interred on May 14. I am buried in St. Michael’s cemetery.
