Represented by David Oberhausen

I represent James Craine Bronaugh. I was an Army surgeon in the War of 1812. I joined the staff of General Andrew Jackson and served as his personal physician, secretary, and confidant. When he formed a government for the new American territory of Florida, General Jackson named me to the Pensacola Board of Health. I resigned from the Army in 1821 and had planned to run for Congress, but tragically, I died of yellow fever during an 1822 epidemic.
