I represent Doña Merced Anastasia Gonzalez, a blanca girl born in Pensacola. For some reason, I am not listed in the 1820 census of Pensacola, but the census and my marriage records state that I was born in 1808 and that I was a daughter of the rancher Manuel Col. Gonzalez, a Spaniard, and Maria Luisa Bonifay. I married George F. Brent in 1825; Lt. Arthur Witham Thornton in 1826; and D.B. Riera in 1839.
