Doña Gertrudis Hernandez Philibert

I represent Doña Gertrudis Hernandez Philibert, a blanca woman born in Mobile. I married Luis Theophile Philibert of New Orleans on April 10, 1820 at St. Michael’s in Pensacola. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 27 years old. Theophile and I lived on the family farm with his parents: Pedro Philibert, born in Lorraine, France; and Maria Luisa Martin y Dainesse (also spelled Denes) of New Orleans, and his three siblings, one other of whom was married.
