I represent Don Manuel Carlos LeBaron, a young blanco man born in Louisiana. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 17 years old, and lived with my father, Don Charles LeBaron; my mother Doña Mary Weaver LeBaron; and my three younger siblings. I probably worked with my father in his shop. On February 3, 1822, I married Anna McVoy at St. Michael’s.
According to Descendants of Deacon Samuel & Ann Bass (which information has not yet been independently confirmed by 1821 Sampler researchers), my mother was a niece of Aaron Burr, and my father was a former Admiral in the French Navy.
