Maria Ana Alba

I represent Maria Ana Alba, infant daughter of Gertrudis Alba. I was a free child of color, born on May 23, 1821 (likely in New Orleans), so I was less than 2 months old at the time of the changing of the flags. I was baptized on May 24, 1821 in New Orleans at the Cathedral of St. Louis. Though I was born too late for the 1820 census, I would probably have lived with my mother, my brother Adolfo, my (probable) grandmother, Mariana Alba, and Genoveva Ham.
