I represent Doña Maria Josephine LeBaron, a young blanca woman born in Pensacola. At the time of the 1820 census of Pensacola, I was 14 years old, and lived with my father, Don Charles Leonard LeBaron, a shopkeeper; my mother Doña Mary Weaver LeBaron; and my three siblings. In 1824, I married Thomas B. Bell.
According to Descendants of Deacon Samuel & Ann Bass (which information has not yet been independently confirmed by 1821 Sampler researchers), my mother was a niece of Aaron Burr, and my father was a former Admiral in the French Navy.
